Posting from my phone. According to the 2920 series, book 1 (rereading the series), the Tsaesci don't use shields, the dodge if they don't want to be hit.
The series IS fictional, so take from it what you wish.

Want to make a slight corrwction, the series is technically historical fiction but the author is a legitimate historian and does a good job getting major details correct. So there is quite a bit made up, but also quite a bit that is accurate in the 2920 series. What is made up though, that is the question.

I feel this depends on if we're taking the kalpic cycle interpretation or not, if we are, Ebony should still be present, as everything with Lorkhan still happened. If we're not taking that, I personally feel that we'd want either Adamantine or some sort of other Aedric or Daedric origin material for Daedric Crafting, I'd suggest still Sky Metal, but it should be less a material used by a specific extinct race, but rather some sort of Meteoric Metal or even crystal. The Owl-Folk could be the ones who use Adamantine, as it is presumably a very difficult to work metal, so a high tech/magic society would make sense as the only ones who know how to truly make it into the workable form that is known to the inhabitants of Akavir today.
